Freshly brewed coffee, homemade treats and seasonal fruits from our garden introduce you to the quiet, genuine rhythm of rural Algarve — simple, authentic, and far from the crowds. From here, we begin our ride on comfortable e-bikes, following a personalised route through white-washed villages, orange groves, cork oak forests and the soft rolling hills of the Barrocal. Because this tour is private, the pace adapts entirely to you: more stops, more stories, more time to enjoy the landscape without rushing. Along the way, we visit a small artisanal fig factory, where local producers keep alive the craft behind Algarve’s most iconic sweets. It’s an intimate encounter with real people, real traditions and a flavour you won’t find in tourist shops. As we continue, breathtaking views open up around every bend. With baskets filled with local flavours, we reach a quiet panoramic viewpoint — a place only locals know. Here we prepare a rustic yet beautifully curated picnic, featuring regional products, seasonal specialties and the ingredients collected during the tour. On the return route, we stop by a hidden lake, adding a peaceful and contemplative pause before cycling back to Gato Preto.
